Title: Duplicate an Artboard

Adobe Illustrator CS4 Tip - Duplicate an Artboard

I was working on a bunch of logo designs all in the same Illustrator file with each rough on a separate Artboard. I wanted to duplicate one of the roughs along with its Artboard to create a slight variation in the design. Is there a quick way to do this? Absolutely! Choose the Artboard tool (Shift+O), and click on the Artboard you wish to copy in order to select it. Then in the Control panel, activate the "Move/Copy Artwork with Artboard" button and click and drag the Artboard while pressing the Option/Alt button on your keyboard. This will make an exact copy of both the Artboard and the Art it contains.

If you want to just move an Artboard with its art without duplicating it, just activate the "Move/Copy Artwork with Artboard" button, then click and drag with the Artboard tool. To move an Artboard without its art, deselect the "Move/Copy Artwork with Artboard" button and click and drag with the Artboard tool.
