Its rather interesting hearing about the furry family members that are out there.  Speaking for myself, I have always been a dog person.  German Shepard for the most part.  First pet I had was a dachshund mix, named Tinker.  My wacko sister got rid of him while I was in school.  She didn't like him and he definitely didn't care for her.  They'd fight in the bedroom.  She'd try to smack him with the broom, he'd duck and run under the bunk beds.  She'd shove the broom under to get hm.  He'd bit the broom and hang on until she got him in the clear.  Then try to swat him with the broom!  He'd just drop off and back under the bunk beds he'd go.  To this day, I still don't know what happened to that dog.
Next pet I got was a black and silver German Shepard.  Named him Saladin.  Go figure.  Beautiful animal, and one hell of a baby sitter.  Put a baby near him and you needn't worry.  If the baby started fussin', he'd come get either Connie or myself.  I set him to watching my brother's girls out in the yard.  They were out there having a grand time and Saladin was under the porch in the shade.  My brother came by in order to pick them up, Saladin watching him all the way.  He did pick up one of his girls - she screamed - don't know if scared or what, but she screamed and Saladin went into action.  He put my brother OVER the fence, and didn't relent until Connie or I came out in order to order him off.  He's gone now.  I don't have a picture of him as they are all in storage. 


Right now, since time is catching up - never was much of a runner anyway - I tried to swear off getting any more animals.   I tried.  Unfortunately, or Fortunately as the case may be.  Connie was given a little critter that someone actually threw away!  IN THE GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!   She already had Tink - a little white and brown Chihuahua - to look after.  She wanted to give her to me.  Stupid me. I said not no but hell ----- awwwww, look at those little eyes!!!!  And that was how I came to have my little Princess.  An all too cute black and tan Chihuahua.  By the by, she likes riding in the car behind my neck, and eating ice cream.

Tis sad what folks do to animals.  Let's see if that new FEDERAL LAW changes anything.   

But yup...I can see why it was hard to say no LOL.

Someone don't care for that Santa Cat outfit methinks!   LOL!  (SMACK!) 

I had a Subaru once.  Loved it actually.   4 cyl pancake, 5 spd overdrive, all wheel disk brakes, front wheel drive.  Used, $1100.00 cash.   Very clean car!   A 82 GL Wagon.   Being a pancake, one paid very close attention to the oil changes and level.   Even so it was the most under powered vehicle I ever owned.  There were much better engines for those cars around I found.  that one was just the weakest of the lot.   I have seen the 2 door Subaru Baja trucks.   Now they are all 4 door?  Oh well,  they are all  wheel drive, nice :)
Wish I had one that gets 35 mpg plus.  My old Jeep has been getting 19 to 20 mpg combined.  22 to 24 highway only.   Pretty good for a nearly 2.5 ton SUV.

All cats love boxes!   But you know that yeah!   LOL!    It appears that Oz is a "Bombay".   Special kinda cat!   My Mogwai is out of a Bombay Queen.   Recessive genes produce them, and they are a very cool cat.   Have a very distinct personality, pretty darn outgoing, interesting vocals, VERY picky as to their human, and loyal to that human IF they choose one.   I have seen them choose a family, not just one person.  Or no one at all, but gets on with everyone.   Needless to say, I LIKE Bombay cats.   The very first one I ever called my own was one.   And where I went, she went.  If she didn't fit anywhere else around me, it was on my head.   Hat ornament.   Mom got rid of her when I enlisted.   Family huh?
