A Child's Love
When we were young and eager,
And feeling kind of spry,
We use to go and play our games,
Into the darkness of night.
But as we all grew older,
The games we play have changed,
We have no light to guide us,
And for that we are to blame.
Forgotten is the laughter,
The fun, the peace, the play.
All we have is our memories
Of what it was like yesterday.
But we need not lose this part of life,
A life without no games.
For if you're willing to set it free,
A child's heart within you still remains.
