There is a lot of that going around methinks, TL. I kinda had been thinking this COVID mess would thin the population down so existing med people could handle all of us. Nope! Not as much thinning as the doomsdayers were thinking! Good. Heck we have Dr's and nurses out all the time cause THEY got Covid. Gee. To me it was a medium bad case of old flu bug. True all I wanted was my coffee and some water. But, that's Flu all over :)My body was fortified with antibiotics by prescription; 120 tablets over a period of as many days, about 2 1/2 years ago. Since that time I know I've been exposed at least five or six times; maybe more, and did not catch it! The doctor told me that the antibiotics would be in my system for at least two years, and I think it is highly likely that they are responsible for keeping me from catching the Covid 19 virus. Not a bad deal at all, as I am deathly afraid of needles, and did not need the antivirus injection.
I remember the Genesis in Poser fiasco. Every thing you owned was exported with the base figure. I forget what G2 figure I purchased and sent to Poser so as to get a workflow for the PFDLives folk years ago. I got a starter stack with G2, a shape (CHR morph), an outfit, and a couple of accessories. Oh yeah, a texture as well. Everything for the character ported over, all the shapes, everything. If the figure was any heavier going to Poser, smoke would have come from my machine.
I see why you want a sandbox to play in. Loading the works to do character dev is indeed overkill.
