Title: The Chronicles of Morgaine
Post by: Aelin on July 22, 2022, 02:08:50 PM
"The Chronicles of Morgaine" by C. J. Cherryh is a trilogy: "Gate of Ivrel", "Well of Shiuan" and "Fires of Azeroth".
Half way from scifi and fantasy together.
The pov isn't the one from the heroin, but from the pov of the man traveling at her side. I had no difficulties to dive in the first book. In the second book however, I had have time to go in the story because we start for a moment from the pov from a secondary character; which was pretty logical in the shape of that "chapter' of the Morgaine's story but I didn't like that moment anyway.

I know there is a 4th book, wrote years after the trilogy "Exile's Gate" but I don't own it so I can't tell about.

But I liked the trilogy (read all in English), and even if sometimes I had to look the dictionnary for a word or another, mainly the context of the text (medieval mind) and the fact I read books with such way to talk in French helped to grab what was said.
