[Tips] Flavor Boosters
« on: July 04, 2014, 07:33:32 PM »
1.  Need to add more flavor to a dish? Add a bouillon cube or one teaspoon of bouillon granules, they equal the same. They come in beef and chicken flavors.

2.  You can also add a teaspoon of soup base which is a moist, highly concentrated version of soup stock. One cup = 5 gallons or 20 quarts of stock!!! They come in beef, chicken, vegetable, and fish flavors. Restaurants use these a lot to add flavor to their sauces, soups, stocks, broths, and more.

3.  Adding soy sauce to beef will boost beef's flavor.

Tips:

1.  Try combining flavors like chicken and beef. If you read the labels of some of your favorite canned or boxed goods, you're likely to see "ckicken and beef flavors added". ;)

2.  A little goes a long way, this is especially true of bases! Use sparingly! You can always add more but you can't take it away once you go overboard.

Good tip and I stock up on bullion cubes since they can be used to boost flavor for most anything.  Sometimes I get lazy and use a "JAR" or gravy and you know how they taste.  Pop in a bullion cube and viola....flavor galore......
