I'm not sure what you mean by 'blank spots' do you mean it's just white in spots? Like below?

Well, looked at the textures again and this time via the install folder and they appear to be complete and intact just wont render properly.

When looking at them in the material room there to my eyes at any rate to be excessive amount of black space between parts of it.

The screwy thing now is I just rendered one of the problem child's on the old XP box and guess what the scene renders completely and properly .. it is on the Win 10 box that I am hitting this roadblock.

:thud:

Finding even more oddities

Coastal Pier has two houses in it along with a third however the two other houses do not match the texture files in either the pose file or the material folder. However they do match the two houses in the Old Town Home Kit

double :thud:

A lot of black as in masking those areas like in some hair textures?Transparency mapping?

Really can't say what's going on there without seeing everything in person. And looking at it ALL. I don't think anyone really could at this point.

Just opened another problem child on the XP box and it too now renders completely and properly and the lamp post even loads and renders which for some reason it would not do on the Win 10 box

:ummm:  ... my head hurts ...

We are now completely befuddled

Well, now it is truly getting baffling I just opened the same building on both boxes, loaded the texture whacked on the Win 10 box and fine on the XP box

Dug deeper and compared the material files what is consider wall 2 on the one is not the same file on the other box.

Apparently we have managed to somehow corrupted them when transferring them to the Win 10 box.

Yet when I look in the texture folder it show the correct map but when I look at it in the material room it is different

Ta da found the problem, went to see where it was pointing while in the material room and what the hell it was pointing to textures in a different folder entirely made the change in the file location and :yippee: it worked.

Well only on the preview window apparently

Fixed one and then went to a different one and saw the same issue fixed it however I did not do a test render of it

Then decided to go back to the first one and  it had reverted back to the crap nonsense

Rendered it and :sadder: crap again, so in the preview window it is proper but when I went to render it turned to rubbish

Whoa.  Ok fine, but why is POSER doing that in the first place!   I am getting some of that too, with the messed up texture locations.  And not with just 1971s's stuff.   So I can't blame W10 for it.  Nor one particular version of Poser since I am seeing this in PP 2014 myself, and you in P10.   I dunno.  I hope we do figure out the WHY eventually.
McG.
