Poor old Tattoo.   He's gone and scratched his face (EYE lids n temples) just raw, again.   Allergies working on him.  I gotta ask the doc about some kinda topical salve to help with this, at least a little.   He absent mindedly moves around, all jerky like, trying hard NOT to scratch.  Hissing at every turn.   I grab him up, hold him still, for just a couple minutes, and the sensations subside.  He relaxes, then goes and eats a bite.  He even lets me wash his face with cool water!   He gotta have some relief.

awe... poor baby.  We had to put our Weeble on flea meds in the summer... We use Catego (all our cats get this in the summer)... It seems to help him.  He would rub a spot on his butt raw... I found a tiny bit of Vaseline on the spot helped relieve the itch.  Maybe try a little dab on your Tattoo's face...  No fun itching.

Yes on the vasoline.  Oz has a habit of licking his belly to the point it gets a little raw.  Nothing is their but it's a old habit of his...He'll sit like a buddha and lick away....Thankfully it's not a every day, week or Month thing...just a now and then thing.

Lick on the belly is sometimes a sign of stress. Puce and Giro started like that when we "won" the horrible neighbor where we lived before. It's only the 2 or 3 last months of her life that Giro stopped that. Meaning we were here since around 1 year when she stopped to remove hair from her belly.
For Puce, she still has her moments. In fact in our previous flat she started by remove all hair from the end of her tail  :OMFG: Yep, rat tail by a way. I convinced she to stop, just by talking. So she started to lick too much the base of her tail, the under part. Then she stopped that and started to attack her thighs. Then since it's her belly. 15 days ago, she had back most of her hair on the belly; she removed them again :sigh:
And it happens you don't know the exact reason of the stress

McG, Puce is also back to her sun allergy. Scratching her ears. Tonight had to put her the inverted 'lampshade'. I'm going to try to remove it now she is quiet.

Oz has been doing it ever since we got him.  As mentioned...he was a rescue baby kitten after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and was flown to a Wisconsin Animal Shelter and then moved again to Local Animal shelters...Then we got him as a Christmas Gift from Travis and Mindy...  But yes...I'm sure it's a stress habit from all he's been through...and then we got the three kittens....but really....he doesn't do it more often because of them....Just every now and then.

My cat Cookie Baby sometimes gets ear mites in her right ear. I think she does in the left one too, but it is not as bad as her right one. If I try to get some ear mite medicine in her ears, she will detect the scent immediately, and she fights light a wildcat to get away, even though her ears are bothering her. She once scratched the underside of her right ear till it was bloody. My solution to keeping from being ripped to shreds by her claws is to wrap her tightly in a bath towel so that she cannot get her legs out and do damage. (She ripped my arms up fiercely when I first tried to get some medicine in her ears!)  Then I can put the medicine in her ears, and rub it in. She always thanks me for that, when she no longer has to suffer from those evil little critters.

I Will Try The Vaseline on Tattoo's eyelids and temples!   Used to have some Star ointment, but being a small jar, the boys would turn it on a side and roll it all over the house.   I got no idea where it ended up!   But some Vaseline I can get hold of.

I hear you all speaking of things that one or both my boys have dealt with in their life times.  Fungus (Ring Worm!), Ear Mites, Fleas, sun burnt ears.   They also get mosquito bites.  If Mogwai got out for a while, he would have those burnt ears too.   SO.  Tomorrow, Tattoo gets the Vaseline face!    :woohoo:   I am glad someone thought of that!
