I don't know what pushed your buttons, McG, but I am only trying to help J with disk troubles.  Talk to me or not as you like.

:lostme:  Well I do not know what to say except I Say things that Others take Poorly Or as I have been told as I am getting Let Go from a Job. Going What the .... as I am escorted from the building with my Desk stuff put into a Trash bag this is after I had just fixed the Emergency Call From the Department head! To find out latter I was let go so someone's Family member could do my job. Then have the whole system crash and then get Court Papers served on me to Repair or Pay for the Down time of the system that I had not been around for a Year as I was flipping Burgers at Dairy Queen as No one Would Touch me to do what I was trained to do! I Do understand getting Chewed out for something I had no hand in and can feel your pain. as for the whole Drive going bad I am suspired it has been up for as long as it has been with all the horrible storms you got over there in Florida!   :thud:

Sorry about that J, I just deleted it.   You have the umpfh and Ooohh! and Space TO do the site.   But I doubt you'd have the bandwidth needed to handle a pile of Users simultaneously.   Meanwhile, back at the RAID... I'd have to figure out which drive it is same way you'll have to, most likely.
Ideally, you would have racks with drive trays and nice neat cabling all around.   And YOU would definitely label the stuff with Ability To Easily Identify Later in mind while doing it.   I wonder at the times I have had to replace my own labels on the drives installed in MY crate.  Cause WinDoze has its own ideas what to label which.   And now, sheesh I got 8 going in.  Brand and drive size are sometimes a help.  But with RAID 10 you have like 5 drives, all the same, but numbered how?  The damn programs usually do what the coder wanted years ago in another state or country, and not at all what WE need em to.  Grrr.

Sorry Sir Knight, I am usually more resilient than I showed everyone a while ago.   I find out tomorrow morning what my scalpel happy podiatrist wants to do to me.   And whether I get up and walk out of and away from the VA Medical care or not.

Don't know what was said, am glad to hear it was deleted ... however, no squabbling in here ... all can have opinions just don't get riled up about them, as no one is right about everything.

Explain why you think your comment is correct and let us all listen and decide for ourselves as to whether or not it works for the situation being described.

That is the basis for constructive conversation .... yes ....

Made no further progress writing progress reports last night ... :thud: ... thank goodness I have until the 22nd to get them completed.

I know, I have this week off from school due to spring break and class reconvenes on the 22nd so therefore I have till then to complete them. So technically seven days to write 16 more progress reports.
