Welcome, and how may I help you?

Come visit with all in here, have some coffee or your favorite beverage, and have loads of fun. The bar staff and keeper are always here to fill your orders. This is our gathering place where we will share greetings, pass secrets, gossip, and enjoy each other's company.

Jherrith has agreed to fire up the grill on the weekends with some of his tasty specials.....and the COFFEE will always be hot and fresh, especially with Fafnir and his bevy of waitresses.

Wow! Ben Bova and Anne McCaffrey are favorite authors too. You ran in some circles that I would have enjoyed running in also! To tell the truth, I am a bit jealous, but not in a bad way! LOLOL

That was just '73. I was one of the originators of Hal-Con, which BTW still runs. My original Hal-Con registration number was 007. It was down to an honorary 001 by the time I stopped participating in '81 or '82. I'd have to look it up.

I don't even put a tree up anymore...well, not in the general living area.  I put a small one up in the Computer Room and do a Christmas Village scene.  Got a window there so folks can see that I'm not a scrooge.   And I bet all can guess why I don't have any sort of tree in the general living area....:tearlaugh: :tearlaugh:

I do put all of my Santas in the curious and decorate somewhat in the kitchen.  Already have my Lit up Candy cans out...that's enough for lights.  My electric bill went up again...and not due to usage...that's 3 times this year.

Good afternoon!
Still no snow here but a cold weather for sure!
I stopped my visits to deviantart since a long time Agent, the site trying to :explode: my processor. But if I have the opportunity to be back in one day, I think I'll just remove my profil. They no longer worse the trouble.

No Christmas tree here this year. We have a fake one since years and that's fine. But the problem is the babies. It won't stay in place for 30 seconds :hypno: and that without decorations!

I learned a very long time ago that the bottom yard/meter of the tree needs the unbreakable ornaments to be hard wired on to the tree. No silly little "S" shaped wires from the Dollar Store. Cats are pretty determined.

My poor old girl has no interest in tree climbing. She can barely jump up on the couch. Missing a back leg never slowed her down when she was young, but she's getting on in years now. 16. I have to lift her on to the top of the computer case now. She sleeps there for the warmth.

<edit to add>

I was thinking last month about doing a kitty in a tree if that turned out to be the theme this month.

Morning all, sorry I've been missing in action. I've been busy looking after my parents who are in their 90's. So visits will probably be infrequent at the moment.

Just in case I want to wish you all the best for the holidays!

I hope everyone has a terrific Christmas...

Well, PDG, looks like you rubbed elbows with a lot of fine folk.  Met Ms McCaffrey at a convention once, autographed my Dragonriders books for me.  She was the only author at the Dragoncon I attented while in Fla.  Would have liked to have met Keith Laumer, but time was against me.  Him and of course Fred Saberhagen.  Oh well.

Right, 'ere we go.  Roll cross country and go through the ditch . . . fire main gun to look . . . Oooops.  Is it supposed to do that?
