Mornin' everyone. Winter's coming like that tv show kept going on about. Cold, snow, miserable. At least it is supposed to get up to the low to mid 60's for the weekend. "The Tripod" isn't too happy with the cold concrete balcony. "Outside" is slowly becoming off limits for another year.

Good Morning to all....

Had a early morning appointment and now I'm home for the day....

Thanks for the Fafnir.  Typically I'm allowed to drink Black coffee that has nothing in it before a lab visit (which is how I drink my coffee...nothing in it but COFFEE)...but not today, darn it all.  So I'm here to make up for it.  You say you have 5 pots going all the time...well, that will be 3 pots shortly.  Lorna complains all the time that she misses her morning coffee when she has a lab appt....and I tell her when one puts in a 1/2 cup of sugar and a pint of milk into their coffee...one must suffer. 

Anyway...Tis a nice 33 degrees out but I did have frost on the windows when I left for the clinic..Didn't take much to clear if off...

And let me get our Magic Mirror out (Borrowed from the Romper Room)....Who has been here and are here now...I see Fafnir, Sir Knight, Noshoba, PDG, Dreamer, and our 235 guests.  Hope you all have a great day....

And PDG....yup...suppose to be in the upper 60's here this weekend......

Now to get some other items done in here with in hand

  Another beautiful sunrise this morning, blue  skies with a sprinkling of clouds against the mountains.  Then again waking up on this side of concrete is great too. Depending on how you look at it.  Hope everyone's day is a great one.

Temps already climbed to 42 degrees here....sun is shining...and leaves are messing up my yard.... :nopanic;

When one thinks of raking leaves one should not think of them as pile of leaves.  It is an adventure zone for children, after the fun, then make it a fun event where the children can race each other by seeing who can rake piles of leave the fastest.
Either you will have your lawn raked or have one big mess.

LOL....My 50+ Child lives with me and has no desire to even help me with the leaves

But no big loss there.....I got a Combination Leaf Blower/Vacuum/Mulcher that i use.  Then I use the mulch for the gardens...that makes for great spring planting soil...

Back in the day the girls and neighbor kids always had fun with the leaves.  But they helped rake them up into the piles and when done...we'd burn them...Damn...such a long time ago....

Fafnir, thanks for the and rum! Especially that Delicious Dark Rum! Made the day extra special and warm inside.   I'll hold off on it til the 30th. That's a real special day for me to indulge. ;-)  Anyhoo, today, I'll just take a plain ol' tea with just a dollop of cream and some sugar to go . 

Y'all, Howdy!!! Just drop in to see what's up and to vote in the Theme picking for November. Y'all know what's fast approaching, right? Anybody for expensive turkey with tomatoes to match, pricewise? Tomatoes gave me a sticker shocker yesterday.  $2.49/lb!  You got to be kidding me! Well, there goes my BLT now... Now it'll just be BL without the T. Maybe I'll just sub an egg, and it'll be BLE(?) Hold the mayo!
