I do love my HP laptop....  Got it as a refurbished from Walmart 9 years ago.  It's been good to me...and I protect the hell out of it LOL. It's got a 17" touch screen and now has Windows 10....and will NOT accept Windows 11 which is a good thing.

My brother got one also that was refurbished and his is going on 7 years since he got it.  I told him that refurbished means no assembly line manufacturing...Every item has to be checked and a tag has to be signed by each person doing the checking.

   Another great day in the desert, with clouds dotting the blue skies.  The ducks and geese are making their way south now as they stop for the night here and fly off in the morning.

Of late I'm thinking the migrating birds have been a bit confused.  We've had a ton of geese here since June, which is rare...and ducks also for that matter.  We have a number of man made ponds and streams that were made to slow the water flow into the Rock River which use to overflow onto the major highways when heavy rains came...  Walmart has one and it's typically full of Ducks and Geese.

My PC is an All in One HP with a 17 inch screen (not touch), and also will not accept Windows 11, which like TL I do not want. Mine also has Windows 10, and yes, it was updated last night.

Had a rough and sleepless night last night, due to stormy weather causing our power to kick off several times. Had to search for the cause each time, and fix it,... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! Three times was due to water kicking the breakers off, so had to shield the power connection against that. It took 2 hours just to get that done. The other times were cascade effects from the same problem. So this morning I decided to take a nap, and got about two hours of fitful sleep. Still tired from all the chaos of the night. Crazy thing is now we have just an overcast sky, with the Sun shining through occasionally.
My brother and I were worried about our refrigerator/freezer, as it was not making its characteristic sound. We thought it had given up the ghost, and we cannot afford to lose the groceries we have in it, especially in this outrageous economy our idiot president has ushered in! There is over $400 worth of food in it. I told my brother that it only comes on when the temp gets to a certain point (too warm). Turned out I was right. Thanking God for that! Buying another refrigerator/freezer is not going to be easy on our meager funds.

So Fafnir, hope you don't mind me grabbing a particularly strong double cup of ! Need that mud today, as I still have lots of RL work to do this day.

Glad to hear the Fridge/Freezer is OK....  Nowadays everything is expensive.
