Hey TL, around the Gulf Coast, hurricanes from July through December are 'normal' weather! ;o)

Down here, we do not get the kind of violent weather we did during the 80's. We do not get the consistently hot and humid years with no wind to cool us down that we did in the 80's. The younguns are all complaining. That is; those that were born during those days! The elders (us!)? Well me I am glad the weather has been so nice the last 25 years! Maybe I just live in a sweet spot? :o)

Well I'm sure that you know by now that middle Georgia did not get any rain from Ian; not even one raindrop. We got gusts of wind from it, but other than that, nothing. Not saying that is bad. I'm glad it took a bypass around my area. I'm not happy about the amount of damage it has done, especially in Florida. I pray that there was no loss of life, though I've heard of some people missing. Hopefully they will show up soon.
Fafnir, I hope you faired well in the aftermath.
Have not checked the status of Ian yet, and it will be some time before I can, as I have a lot to do in the next few hours.

By the looks of the path it's taking now it can send some of the rains and a little bit of the wind up the East Coast. My brother in RI might be getting a little of it. But officially it would be over and the rest is just residue
