I use to use Ice Packs to lesson the pain and swelling. Worked well.

I'm unfortunately prone most of the time now. Not supposed to be trying to sit upright for too long. Sucks. Ed says he's bringing over the rental later on the way to work. Tells me I won't believe him unless I see it. Inquiring minds want to know.

The newest ones I've seen at the VA are interesting.  I still marvel at how they can carry an 800 lb one legged man without flipping up on him!
And then I see a very normal sized woman using a similar one, and I realized one thing about both:  They were quiet!  I didn't hear gears growling or whining.   Dang.  Ah, I think both were direct drive is why.   Now that is something.

Hey Sir Knight!! You looked at any of that text to image ai? I've been playing with StableDiffusion using a text to type to input prompts while I'm stuck laying around. It's eating a hell of a lot of hard drive space with crappy output I have to constantly trash, but it's actually a lot of fun and I've got fairly good at tuning output into something I can live with. Scary tech. if they fine tune the model weights.

I'm surrounded with the latest and greatest mobility devices the Govt. pays for and I have no idea how some of these units even get into the building. There is one guy with an electric "Rascal" type unit. It has a roof, stereo, and seating for three plus a trunk for groceries. Damn thing is almost as wide as the sidewalk and as long as a Prius.

Just found it online. It's a Mobility Plus Pro. Heated and air conditioned. Not supposed to seat three apparently but the thing easily fits an adult and his two grandkids from what I've seen pile out of it.

Wow, PDG the ones I've been looking at are way smaller than  that one!   Their owners put baskets on them.   One behind the seat, one on the front.   These ones are much like the ones that can easily get through the 'wheelchair doors'.   Something like THIS
