Good morning, Fafnir.  Glad to hear they make real gumbo.   :woohoo:  Coffee if  you would.  It was a rough night.

McG: Did you check the startup repair log?

Morning All.

McG, A game stub? You were downloading games the other week. Check to make sure whatever was uninstalled was indeed, totally uninstalled. Might be something floating around the registry still. Some uninstallers can mess registries and Windoze will try to do some repair when prompted to do so, though success is limited.

Good morning Folks!
Fafnir, a double strength mug of your dark roast :java: Please.
I know I have said I won't do really long renders, but this In the Clouds theme for this month is inspiring, to say the least. So I used a Bryce Volumetric Cloud slab, edited it in the Materials Lab, resized it to make the cloud tall and big. Next I built my scene with a water plane, Hermineo Nieves' Millennium City, retextured with Bryce Procedural Mats, and a very large spaceship coming out of the cloud modeled using a Bryce Symmetrical Lattice shaped with a personally generated heightmap, and textured using a Bryce Procedural Mat. The Procedural Mats I used were created in Bryce by me, using the Bryce Deep Texture Editor.

I just had to have at least one image that has volumetric clouds to upload for this month's contest. Most of the effects I wanted to achieve in the image worked better than I was expecting, though some inherent render anomalies were unavoidable. Still, I have to say the image looks pretty good, for an application that has not had an upgrade in more than a decade. Bryce can do a lot of great stuff even now, so I'm proud of how well it still works.
 :happydance: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
The image is now up in the gallery here.
DAZ Studio, Bryce, Poser, Wings 3D, Howler, Blender, PSP, Hexagon, MSO PowerPoint & Word, just a few of the programs I use.

Good Morning to all.....

Got done with all of my appointments yesterday and I still live....somewhat LOLOL....That stress test was a 3 hour deal...

Then had to see a few specialist...and then I was done for the day....and was NOT in the mood for the net....I never take naps but by gosh...I did yesterday...that treadmill reached level 4 before they stopped the test....:thud:

Anyway....McG...if you keep the computer on all the time....when's the last time it actually got a good inside cleaning....Dust and Pethairs are a computers enemy.....no matter if you have the best cooling system in the world.

A beautiful day here today......but not going anywhere or doing anything LOLOL...

And I'm getting off net shortly and continue deleting unwanted items from the computers....Been cleaning the externals up for a bit now....and consolidating....

So...on that note....have a great day....

Good afternoon!
Tomorrow, I'll try to pass during my midday because I'm going to supervise a spectacle with a colleague. And who knows? Perhaps there will be a firework after that, like most of the towns, villages or cities have forgotten since almost 20 years the national celebration is July 14th

Life is good Sir Knight.

I was looking yesterday for the original video for Rad Gumbo by Little Feat. Reminds me of here; the Coffee Shop, but I just couldn't find a legit link.

I'll take a look Agent.
Thanks PDG. I read your comment for the image. The other comments mentioned the movie "Independence Day", and truth be told, it does have that flavor; though I was not thinking about that when I composed the image. LOL As the US was born in this month, July 4, 1776, it is fitting that one image brings that day to mind, even if the film was not about the "Revolutionary War". Then again, my image was not about that either. But I'll let it be what the people want.
An 18 and a half hour render, for that one. Longest render time I have ever done!
