Was a "guard" for a spectacle with children like spectators this afternoon. They were pretty calm, perhaps because it wasn't so far after the lunch The only problem was a light during the show I took in 1 eye. Ended the job half in the dark in my deskroom, but that's fine now.

Glasses not always work, and in the dark outside of the scene it would be suicidal, in case I had to move to the children if some became too excited.
And being behind one of the teachers wasn't enough for me. He hadn't enough a big head

I don't actually destroy metals against my skin; rather my skin is reactive to metals, so that I have problems with breakouts of hives, or the metal changes the color of my skin where it has touched by the metal. This is not instant, instead it takes metal against my skin for long periods for it to affect my skin that way. I suppose there is a bit of corrosive in my skin that causes it, but the real danger is what it can do to me personally. If metal is changing things in my skin, it is also getting into my body, which might not be good for me at all. I know trace amounts are essential for good health, but the ways it can get into my system could cause there to be too much of any one or more metals to get in, and I would suffer for it.

Just read this:  "The derecho in Canada on Saturday took at least ten lives, one of the largest derecho-related death tolls in North America in recent memory. The derecho also brought down countless trees and cut power to more than 950,000 customers, likely representing well over one million residents. Given Canada’s population of around 38 million, it’s a fair bet that around 3-4% of Canada’s entire population was hit by power loss, a huge percentage for any natural disaster."

Yep. That sounds about right. There are still some without power for a while yet. Up to a week I hear. Cant replace those high tension steel towers in a hurry. Need specialized chopper pilots to assemble them. I've seen it done. Four guys on a tower while the heli hovers above them holding tower sections to be assembled.

The derecho ran a good thousand klicks, 630 miles or so, dropping tornados and 5 minute storms for about 4 and a half hours. First time I had heard that term from the Weather Network. Not looking to see another.
