Giveaway of the Day

Welcome, and how may I help you?

Come visit with all in here, have some coffee or your favorite beverage, and have loads of fun. The bar staff and keeper are always here to fill your orders. This is our gathering place where we will share greetings, pass secrets, gossip, and enjoy each other's company.

Jherrith has agreed to fire up the grill on the weekends with some of his tasty specials.....and the COFFEE will always be hot and fresh, especially with Fafnir and his bevy of waitresses.

Good Morning to all....

Thanks for the :java: Fafnir....

Sounds like you're going to have a very enjoyable day today PDG.....I'm sure Fafnir has something stronger then coffee that he can share with you LOL....

Don't have much going on today.  Was going to clean the sheds but to damn chilly out today....even with the sun shining bright....it's that darn wind that gets to me.  I have plenty to keep me busy though....

So for now....I'll grab a :java: and take a tour to see what is what and who is who and why is where....

:OMFG: I too Have Corrosive Skin I have to use Fabric Watch bands!
When I was wearing a watch my band was a wide leather-crafted one. That kept all metal from being in contact with my skin. Now I just use my smartphone to see what the time is. Would like to get another good watch, and a leather band like the one I had.
DAZ Studio, Bryce, Poser, Wings 3D, Howler, Blender, PSP, Hexagon, MSO PowerPoint & Word, just a few of the programs I use.

Been out on my rather cool balcony enjoying the sun myself. Till the chainsaws and the wood chipper fired up that is. There is still a lot of clean up happening after the storm. Two trees in front of the building came down and one in the park to the south. Haven't been out to see the rest of the world.

Ed is coming by later this afternoon to pick me up for a BBQ at a friends. After two years of COVID I get to blow things up again. Ed will have to go into the fireworks store to grab them though. I might be the one with the licences to purchase and demonstrate explosives but I'm also the one smelling the most of alcohol.

I wonder if I can lose my drone licence for drinking and flying? I know I can lose my licence to fire rocket engines. All these pieces of regulated paper and I am not a licensed automobile driver. It lapsed almost 40 years ago and I never bothered getting it back.

I pawned a watch in Miami for gas in 1978. I've never worn one since. Till cell phones came along people thought I was strange for not wearing one and couldn't figure out how I function without one. Now that everyone has a smart phone (except me) people stopped asking about a watch and started asking why I don't wearing a Fit Bit or other such health monitoring device.

I did come across an old Timex on a wide leather strap that rather resembles a leather armour bracer more so than a watchband, in the bottom of the kitchen junk drawer that everyone has a number of years back. From my 70's biker days. Tossed it somewhere safe cause the wide strap on it says Harley Davidson and I thought it might be worth something some day. It was stolen from the "safety" of the basement lockup along with a bunch of other collectible things like my two signed Frazettas.

I watched some of the vid feeds last night and damn...that sure was one hell of a storm.  They showed one where this guy was recording the trees bending in his yard when hale came down fast and furious....he didn't waste time to turn his phone off and you could see his feet as he ran to his house and his screaming OUCH all the way...  Watch a few others and damn... that storm sure raised hell with the trees and rooftops in some areas.

That is just not right! People have no respect for others when they do crimes like that.
I have a Leather Crafting kit that I can use to make a band for a watch. Got into Leather Craft about five years ago.

Good afternoon!
:OMFG: I too Have Corrosive Skin I have to use Fabric Watch bands!
I destroy them, no matter the material used for: leather, false leather, synthetic, plastic... The metallic one was in nickel, it ended pinky but the closing part stopped to close pretty quickly.

i don't  wear metallic jewelry  cause of acidic/corrosive  skin as well  and when i was  commercial  fishing you didn't  want anything  that could  get you hung up in cables or ropes  like  watches or  rings
