Hi sanbie. Just select your clothing and go to the File menu in the top left corner of your screen. In the drop down select Export and then your output of choice. WavefrontOBJ is the usual target output.

If you need more help or a screen shot let me know.

Sanbie, have you tried to save your .obj in your Poser 11 runtime? If it's the case, Poser 11 generally never allows you to save something directly in your Poser runtime. You have to create another runtime just to save your .obj, .mc6... or any other stuff.
Then from that 'outside' runtime, you can move your stuff inside the P11 runtime :hypno:

Nope haven't tried to save it anywhere yet Aelin, I exported as obj...then imported it back into poser but instead of sitting in the middle it went right down through the ground so only the hip area was visible above the ground.

Oh I just remembered Deni saying to make a copy of the exe poser file and to put that in as the main poser runtime. Mmmm wonder if that has something to do with it.

Just getting home. Stressful day.

OK here we have Gramps2 and his conforming clothing. Let's grab his jacket and make it into a prop.

1. Select his Jacket from the list of figures in the scene.

2. In the File menu in the corner press File->Export->WavefrontOBJ

3. Select Single frame in the box that pops up.

4. Select Your clothing item (Gramps2Jacket)

5. Press ok

6. When the Export Options come up just press "Weld body part seams" to hold everything together and Include body part names in polygon groups to make grouping, texturing, and dynamics easier with your exported object .

7. Click OK and save your new prop cloth. You are done.

When you import the OBJ you made do not tick any of the import boxes except to keep polys consistent if you are not sure about back facing polys. The cloth will appear exactly where it was exported from. There will of course be no rigging, but as Poser saves a mat file alongside the OBJ you will have textures from the exported cloth if Poser can find them.
