Poser should be run as administrator
« on: December 14, 2010, 01:45:53 AM »
This is something that I just read about in one of the tech groups I get emails from.... and may be for Poser6+(especially 7).

Some people have been having trouble with it in both W7 and Vista  with a few in XP. What Poser tech support told one (but some of the other techs there do not know it or did not tell others) is that Poser needs to be able to run some of its scripts as admin so they suggest you set Poser to run as administrator--always. That should take care of some problems.

to do that you :

1. go to C drive/program files/ e-frontier or smith micro folder depending on version of Poser

2. right click on the Poser exe file

3. choose Properties

4. choose the Compatibility tab

5. at the bottom tic run as administrator -- click apply -- then close the little window

Fear not,
You are never alone,
I am there to comfort and guide you...
Always.

You mean if ... don't you

I checked my properties tab and it doesn't look anything like that but I still use XP and that might be why and it seems that it is an auto feature as it did not ask the question in the same manner as the screen shot above.  Oh I run Poser 7.04
