A bit of History
« on: May 06, 2018, 07:27:45 PM »
Me and manga go back a ways ... In fact the very first that I ever read was a crazy anthro style series there were only 10 volumes but it was the one that got me hooked on this style of scribbling.

HyperPolice first published in 2005, the head scratching part though there is also an anime that follows the story accurately that was released in 1998. :odd:

Not certain how that is possible but things happen ...

The bottom line though is that after reading that series I was hooked and have been an ardent follower and reader of the style since then ... so much now that of the 16 bookcases I have storing my library a full five of them contains nothing but manga.

Some of the current series that we are working

Black Butler
Monster Musume
Testament of Sister New Devil
My Monster Secret
Battle Angel Alita "Mars Chronicles"
Shomin Sample
Spirit and Cat Ears
There is a Demon on the Floor
The Ancient Magus Bride
Gabriel Dropout
Frau Faust
In/Spectre
The Girl from the Other Side
Shoulder a Coffin Kuro
Demonizer Zilch
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
Is it Wrong to try and Pick up Girls in a Dungeon
Forbidden Scrollery

and the list goes on ... yes there is a trend with the shall we say fan service, and harem themes but ... I am a guy what did you expect ... rubber biscuit

Monster Tamer Girls
Soul Liquid Chambers

there is many more but you get the drift

At last I finally got to use a line from the xxxHolic manga series.

Was walking out to the car from grocery shopping and could hear another cart behind me, got to my car and the person was still behind me and happened to be parked right next to me so made a comment about "tandem shopping cart"

She replied, coincidences happen

I responded, "there is no such thing as coincidence only inevitability"

Sorry, the line comes from a favorite anime of mine. Been waiting months to be able to actually use it in conversation.

She said, glad I could help  ....

There's nothing better then being able to quote a line or two from a show someone really likes. Or having things happen that were in movies and tv shows. I actually met and went on a date with a guy I met at a laundry mat, when I stopped him from adding red items to his whites...lol
