I use to use Ice Packs to lesson the pain and swelling. Worked well.

I looked if that person was active or not on 3d community. For now, the most recent thing is on Daz forum, in 2015.
Even his Sharecg profile brings toward the old blog which is no more online. But... I learnt these last weeks than web archive is our friend sometimes.
