Me voila McG.
It took a while for everything will prove more complicated and take longer than it looks before (Murphy's law); moreover they are still lacking the templates and, most important, the nails (we don't want to lose the war because of a missing nail! :winks:).
As such please regard them as a sort of alpha version to give them a try, and tell me what's amiss  :pleeeeez:

Also the pic is a little slovenly - just couldn't remember where I put the sunday's equine textures so the poor nag looks quite miserable, but at least his hooves are properly clad  :tearlaugh:

P.S.: if you use the .pz3's the horseshoes load in the right positions for the horse's null pose (at least in DAZ) and you only need to parent each to its own hoof.

What you need is some textures for Mil horse by Dreamers, either here or there

Thank you Aelin! Got them all!

I'm sure I must already have a number of fine horse textures among my decennial downloads, but I was planning to look for them only once I was done with my experimental centaur - and they seem to be buried deeper than I thought  :insist:

Yes indeed, Dreamer makes some great horse coats!

Chiron, you put calks on your shoes.  I haven't seen that in a long time. For just pleasure riding, even around here, flat shoes are fine.  Flat steel shoes, that is.   There aren't as many horses up here as I expected.  Most are work horses, used to tend cattle.  So they got real cowboys even today!  LOL!
I dl'd em, will have a go at some flavors, ok!

Neat issue.  Four pz3's in one scene.  Poser is persnickety about that.  Why use pz3's?  Wouldn't saving them as props work as good?

OK McG, the calks are easy enough to remove.
I'm not sure about the right thickness but as long as the shoe is flat that can be adjusted easily.
Beta version the day after tomorrow - it's already night here, and tomorrow is my wife's birthday :winks:  :champagne: :sake: :fireworks3:

Being working in DAZ (for Poser I'd have to change HD), and there the only sensible format I can export to is .cr2. Will that do for you?

Happy birthday to your wife!  :knelvis:

I think the thickness is more or less according periods of time.
Here an illustration from Larousse encyclopedia

But a lot of photos are with 'higher' horseshoes, so it's hard to know. Maybe finally it's according the idea of blacksmiths

Chiron, I can import the .obj's easy enough.  Then slide em around to the hoof they go to.  The pz3's are invisible.  They 'register' as a body part, but there is nothing there.  It should be inside the red circle.  So, yes, cr2's are fine!  The old DAZ horseshoe is in cr2.   Your basic Iron color, easy to color/texture.   I'll play with that then.
