"We're running out of time," Iva began, her voice steady despite the gravity of the situation. "We’ve lost engine power and the auxiliary systems are failing. If we don't act now, we'll drift into the asteroid belt."

Zeena nodded, her weathered face etched with concern. "What do you propose, Iva? There must be a way out."

Iva stopped pacing and faced them, taking a deep breath. "There's only one option left," she said. "We need to manually reboot the ship’s core. It’s a risky maneuver that involves venturing outside to reset the external control panels."

Zeena’s eyes widened. "That's suicide. The radiation levels out there are off the charts. You wouldn’t survive more than a few minutes."

Iva nodded, her expression grim. "I know. But it's the only chance we have. If I can get out there and reset the panels, we can regain control of the ship and steer clear of the asteroid belt."

Celia, the Gynoid, tilted her head slightly, her synthetic voice calm and measured. "I am equipped to withstand the radiation. It would be logical for me to undertake this task instead."

Iva shook her head. "Your systems are crucial for operating the ship once we're back on course. If anything goes wrong out there, we’ll lose our best chance of survival. Besides, the control panels require manual dexterity and a level of improvisation that only a human can provide in this situation."

Zeena looked at Iva with a mix of admiration and fear. "Iva, you’re incredibly brave, but there has to be another way. There must be something we’re overlooking."
