The Pit

It was over a week before the mercenaries returned and Celeste wondered if their misson had gone sideways. Aria joined her to hear what they had to say about Carnage. They'd discovered a hidden facility in the Gaian wastelands which was producing the clones. Delving deeper, they uncovered details of a converted industrial plant known as "The Pit." It was used as a hypergrowth cloning centre. This was the birthplace of Carnage and when she left the giant machine she was only six months of age. Like so many before her, errors in her construction made her undesirable. Not having the ability to speak she was rejected as unfit and dumped in the lost regions. Aria felt such intolerable grief at the way a living being could be treated it took her weeks to come to terms with the suffering of these unfortunates.
