Dorian Down
|
Djinn had only knocked the wind out of Dorian but the alchohol was keeping him from recovering with any speed.
Djinn knelt down and offered a hand up.
Dorian looked confused through the pained grimace.
"Take my hand. If I wanted to hurt you, you wouldn't be laying there mewling in pain. You'd be dead.
I'd ask if you're stupid, but I know better. You DON'T want to mess with me."
He pulled Dorian to his feet and led him to a rock to sit on.
"You ask your father - we're both Shadow and Shinobi Masters, taught by the Master of Masters, Kai-Feng. What are you?
Still a Shadow Apprentice last time I knew. You can ask your brother-in-law, when he comes to get you. He's on his way.
Be glad I didn't call your daddy."
Djinn extended his left hand at Dorian again, his eyes flashing. Dorian flinched. Good! "You stay away from me and from Glory.
She don't want anything to do with you, Dorian. You made your choice. Sleep with it. You bother either of us again,
I'll throw you into next week. And I can," he added ominously. "Now just sit there and wait. I gave Angus these coordinates.
"Now, I'm going to finish what I was doing. If you'd care to ever apologize, make sure you're sober, first." Djinn heaved a sigh of relief and walked on.
