"Cloud Walkers"

It was twenty six years ago, back on Earth - a time that seemed like an entire other life to all who'd lived through it.
Fighting together as a Royal Hybrid team in the Feral Wars toward the end, Justin and Desiderata were cast as a fighting unit -
one of the best and most deadly. The number of the rabid, slavering Feral Dogs
the two of them took out alone was estimated at somewhere around a thousand.

When the war was over, everyone had to go home and pack up to get off the planet -
those who were chosen to go. The journey to Fiera ensued and the Re-Settlement.
Trying to re-establish their lives had taken over and gotten in the way all these years -
personal lives put on hold, because making this new beginning work was more important than anything.

Desi dreamed of it sometimes, the night they parted. She knew she wouldn't see him again soon,
in spite of his promise. It was inevitable. Justin would be a free spirit until he wasn't ready to be any more.

That was all about to change though, with a little help from her neice and a certain
Prince of Vampires...who had determined that Justin regretted severely missing that chance.
Little did he know, it was still there.... Maybe....
