I Think I Made A Wrong Turn in Albuquerque
|
Driving across the country before they had hiways and freeways was a real challenge. Our first hiway was the Lincoln Hi-way that went from New York city to San Francisco in 1913. But not as we think of modern hiways today it was mainly dirt road with improvement taking many years to complete. Here we have a person lost somewhere in the Southwestern United States he is somewhere between Kingman Arizona and Albuquerque New Mexico. No roads its easy to get lost in 1920. In 1926 they started Route 66 and finished in 1930.
