While the other Robinsons and Maj. West left in the chariot at daybreak to investigate what might possibly be a source of fuel for the Jupiter Two. Judy and Penny stayed behind to prep the ship for refueling and departure, along with instructions to keep a close eye on Dr. Smith. As the sun slipped beneath the horizon and twilight crept across the planets surface Judy stands vigil at J2’s main viewport alternating between checking the scanners, trying to establish radio contact, and peering out searching for any sign of the chariot. Penny was busy recalibrating the navigation station, and updating it’s star charts. Meanwhile, Dr. Smith, sensing the apprehension in the two girls for their family, decides now would be the perfect opportunity to add a few subroutines to robot’s program.
