Aubusson 2
|
At your left, you can see the tourism office. Photo is from March, and it was closed at that time.
The colored houses are in fact a "castel" (which is a little, very little, castle). It was transformed at your left in a museum for tapestry "cartons" - it's the 'photos' from Middle-Ages to create the tapestries with the model below the work. The right side is a restaurant. I was on a bridge (bridge of the Terrade, partially constructed with stones of the castle) when I took the photo, but the river you can see is from another photo.
The river Creuse, with acide water, perfect to fix colors for the tapestries. Photo is from this afternoon, and the river is still in a hurry after the rain we had. I guess there was a lot before it crosses Aubusson.
At the top right, a little bird who decided to be famous today. There are a lot here, I never saw them where I lived before.
At the bottom right, Mary and Joseph, on the face of a house, above a baker shop.
