I know the Zoos in Wisconsin don't have that. The Monkeys and other critters do have open areas where you can see them in a habitat similar to what they are use to...and that's it.
This is also food that they got just before from the zoo itself. I was also not near to him as it looks like, there was around 4 meters in between. I used a lens with a focal length of 400 mm for this photo.
At the end of 90's, I went in a zoo (renamed "parc animalier" mainly in France) and there were plenty monkeys, some we could walk between. Unfortunately, my favorites (King Julian style) died with the big storms we had in december 1999. Anyway, none was trying to keep his food, it was more "do you have something?" with visitors, but all 'free' monkeys were very polite. They knew the parc didn't allow visitors to feed them.
