psd files in Poser
« on: December 08, 2018, 06:20:55 PM »
I am a beginner in Poser and have been unable to find a way to examine psd files in Poser to use them as textures, background or whatever.  Considering what I know a psd file usually has several layers and each one is an image as a jpg or png file. So I guess to use one of these layers of a psd file in poser you need first to examine what is inside the psd, and that is what I cannot discover how to do. Any help?Jose

psd when used as a texture file works as a flattened\merged image. You cannot separate out the layers to use independently as textures.

psd intended use in Poser is to parse your render output into layers. Render to psd and you can have diffuse, spec, transparency, ect all ready separated out for postwork in Photoshop. The diffuse channel becomes the "background" layer by default.
