That is how it started with her, been just two weeks and she has grown enough to be able to get a bite on my index finger!  She could not get her mouth over it the day I brought them home.  Sheessh!

Yep, I make sure they have plenty to eat!  And they DO eat!

While I do think their little 'messes' are cute, I remind myself they won't stay little messes for long.  Nope, sure won't.  And their appetites will get bigger too!

Eating done, they are lazily plopped out in the living room floor, away from the chairs wheels, grooming and licking their lips most appreciatively.  LOL!

It's possible she thinks also to your fingers like a little prey.
I'm thinking again right now, while typing what is above to Eleni. When he was 2 months old and then during several months after that, before the night we had him and me a ritual: one of my hands was his prey, fingers being the legs. And I moved the hand on the bed, changing the angles like hiding or ready to attack. Even using my own body to hide the hand behind the back or the legs. He loved to play that way.
Even now, time to time, I can do it again and he acts, ready to jump on or at the contrary to avoid to "be the prey"; some scratches, no bite. The Twins began also to see the hand the same way when it's that play time, but they avoid it mainly.

Good simple idea!   When she gets a finger, she smells it, then licks it, and only then does she CHOMP it!  *CCRRUUNNCCHH!!*  Yeowwww!

The problem of cables with cats, I know that. The first one who tried by Puce. She was new at home, and the comp came few times after. She chewed the part near the comp, leaving a track in the cable. I wasn't happy, she understood it and it was over, she never tried again.
But to lick plastic, yes she knew. And even trying to bite it. She made that when she was under stress. You could see her in some occasions trying to don't do it but her head moving to anyway. Will against pulsion.

Now, it's Harmonie who has taken alone that bad habit with the plastic, plastic bottles specially. It's the art to hide them as much as possible. No need for stress, she just want them.

Concerning the teeth, when your baby tries with your fingers and you are awaken, try to have a toy near you, one she likes. Maybe you can trade delicately your fingers against it when she begins.

Sparky does not bite ME, but does chew on various USB cables that are everywhere in my room.  Plastics, he loves chomping on plastics.  Like the laundry baskets, USB cords.  And that is about all I have out now of that kind of material.  Niki likes all that PLUS my FINGERS!  And she chomps down hard too!  Even draws blood.  I won't hit them if I am awake, but she did that in my sleep.  And I swatted back on whatever bit me.  She seems OK, and is still biting, though not as quickly.
I think that just like human children, their gums/sockets must really hurt and itch.  I remember that a little, I think.  3 yrs old?  But all 4 of my kids and all the grandkids went through teething at an average of 9 months to a year old.  Back then my hands were so callused I could let them really chomp on my fingers.  After a good washing first, of course!  If I still had calluses Niki biting me would not bother me.  But none at all any more.

I really cannot say who is wearing who out quickest!     I got up at 5am, it is now 6am.  I am ready to get right back in bed.  BUT I gotta try to get by THEM to do it!

Ooohh!   I got my 3 pack of USB Rechargeable laser cat toys today!  They work, and both kittens play with the red dot instantly!

Ha!  She may be!    I think I am seeing something else interesting in their behavior.  When they get surprised, or caught red handed doing some dumb thing,  they will quickly look away and sit and scratch their ears a bit...and they do NOT have bugs!  So, it is a kind of signaling.  Like to say "Meh, so what!!"  \
Just another cute action they brought from their neighborhood I guess. 
The human family there, they have a LOT of cats there!  So, maybe a LOT of Cat Slang comes from there?
