So does this mean we are getting another Poser Pro too, most likely but how long do we wait for either...LOL

Yes, there will be a Pro version. And I think we don't have to wait sooo long. ;)

I am loving my PP 2014 in full 64 bits.  I would love the whole 3D thing even more if DAZ/Poser weren't at odds with their joint scaling, which seems to be the main reason we can't use Genesis 3 in Poser.  Native DUF would be great, any word on this?  OR do Poser and DAZ3D part ways now?

I don't understand the DUF part, then i prefer work more with DS3 and Poser 10. For me, it's like if Daz would we forget Poser. But the Poser files are more versatiles and useful i think - even if i couldn't forget than Genesis characters (more in 2 and 3 generations) are not bad at all.
But DUF files with their needed datas are very very big sometimes. And for this reason, i take also few packs on my computer. Mainly, they are in zip on externals.

It seems that Smith Micro prepares Pauline and Paul, 2 new characters again. Perhaps a good idea to have other characters.

Interesting. I am not sure what to say except that I use DS and feel very good using it mostly :) Probably will need to learn a lot more to use it better.

.DUF being DAZ new file format for *ALL* its stuff now.  This started with DS 4.6 and is absolute with 4.8, and all older versions of DS cannot use ANYTHING created with or for DS 4.8.   DAZ does have a lot of great content over there, but if Poser won't use it, then I won't buy it.  I tested all that Genesis 3 stuff, do have DS 4.8 installed, did buy the Genesis 3 head and body morphs, and I do see whats going on with it.  I liked the looks of Stonemason's China Town I bought it and exported it as a pz2 Poser Prop, which works great in PP 2014!
So I say again with conviction that the Poser dev team SHOULD incorporate DAZ triaxial scaling and .DUF file format as Poser Native IN ADDITION to whatever else they have also done this time.
DAZ are cutting Poser loose.  Many vendors already have.   BUT, from the looks of things, the Poser team has chosen a path without anything to do with DAZ at all.  Which really seems to be where they have been from the beginning.  Well, we shall see what we see!   :java:

Let's see throw more money at Poser and have no support for 3rd party stuff or Go DAZ Studio which has 3 times the stuff and a future Humm.

well both poser and daz started out working with each other but then Daz started not including Poser stuff and doing more daz stuff. I do not use daz at all not because I would not like to try it but because I have yet to find a version that will install on either my mac or the pc's

Poser can use daz stuff -- up to a point, I think it is their textures that fight each other. But one day I will get Daz to behave and have both running, whichh is helpful since some of our store stuff is Daz only and I have no way to make the promos withou DAz...vicious cycle.

They both have good points and good stuff but wish they would play nice with each other, both would go even further

I have hope with each new version of Poser that they will have done some things with it that make good sense to US, the people that use it now.  Not twenty years ago.   Each release I buy, I feel a twinge of sadness, of being let down.   Business is not what is driving the boss there, ego is.  If it Were business, they would have the A, B, C's it always has, and it would definitely have D as well.  D being native support of DAZ formats.  It wasn't Poser people that produced DSON, it was DAZ people.  Oh well.  Let's just see what they put on us this time.

Well, I'm excited about the new Poser.

More than that, though, I had to stop and tell DarkAngel just how much I adore that kitty in her sig line!  Does he/she have a name?
