Fabulous.....  My Grandmother had one of these and I learned how to sew on it.  My mothers sewing skills were as good as her cooking skills so I also had to learn how to sew at a early age.  :tearlaugh:

The sad thing is....I had to do all the sewing for the girls, including the wife, because they could not get the hang of my sewing machine  :tearlaugh:

What a blast from the past. My aunt's old sewing machine. She was a seamstress extraordinaire!!! May she rest in peace...

They were fun to fun.  My Grandmother loved to sew and I loved watching her sew... Good memories indeed...

Yep Mom had one of these as well, all though I was only taught how to sew by hand.

Yup...so was I....If my Grandmother hadn't taught me I would have had to go to school with staples holding my shirt together instead of buttons  :tearlaugh:

I now have a couple of these wonderful old treadle operated Singer type sewing machines in 3D.  I grew up next door to my maternal grandparents, and my 'Nannie' also had one of these.  A black lacquered with gold trim and markings Singer Centennial Anniversary Edition.  My Papaw gave it to her for one of their wedding anniversaries.  One before I was born, as it were.    Had a neat badge riveted to its base upright.  I wore clothes my grandmother made with this machine.  We all did!  And we grandkids were proud of that too.   It's a fine memory!
