It is that time again of the year for our 13th annual Feast of the Moon contest. It has evolved over the years from a simple celebration honoring our ancestors into a straight up celebration.

Yet this season though it appears that you want to display pin up pictures, however they need to be appropriate to the season. In a word "Scary", remember Halloween isn't always as pleasant as you would hope.

Since you want to meet the denizens of the night, such as zombies, vampires, witches, wizards, hags, succubae, snow women, dullahans, banshee and more, don't forget there are several countries and cultures that are overlooked for the spooky things that go bump in the night.

So, let us not forget the multitude of yokai from the Asian countries, such as rokurokubi, jorougumo, nureikabe, nekomata, to name a few.

Not all will be pleasing to the sight, and some might make thee wish you were blind.

But, pin ups are pin ups, male, female or "?", ... there are all kinds so it could go either way.

Since it is our 13th annual Feast of the Moon contest there are a total of five prizes up for grabs which also means that if you are up to it you can also enter up to five pictures per person.

Let's see.....
Pinup Photography: usually single model in an evocative pose. Sometimes multiple models are used to accent the individual.
I.E. background characters to help set a mood.
Note, evocative, not neccessarily provacative, though that does seem the commercial norm.

The real question is which one is the pin up, the damsel in the distress or the one putting the damsel in distress?

Wasn't for you do it J, but for everyone think about the contest carefully. Not just thinking "well it's a pinup, end of story, I won't even read the text". Otherwise, what the point you worked on the theme once it was choosen? And in that case, what the point to have a theme if no one follows it?
And I don't talk of that month only.

As mentioned above....as long as it's in a pinup format all is fine. The judges are the ones who will have the final say if it's a pinup or not when they score the creations. :drinkonus:

If you forget the text, the title is supposed to be "spooky pinups" :shrug: Enough explicit I think.

I know most of my pinups don't look like pinups and that is OK. The judges don't need to pick them, just give them a look and a smile.

On another note, since you have stated spooky pinups does that mean we can use politicians in this months challenge.

Dreamer saw the prototype render ... Still debating whether it belongs since looking sexy playing with her food ...-looking innocent- not even naughty...
