Any bruising should be reported to your Doctor if you didn't know how it got there.

Parmatic
« on: December 26, 2016, 11:10:45 AM »
Now, another python script for Poser by Bagginsbill, Parmatic
https://sites.google.com/site/bagginsbill/free-stuff/parmatic

The page above explain a little Parmatic. Here a citation only:
Quote
These scripts will scan your materials in a figure or prop, create actor parameters for them, then update *ALL* the materials as you adjust the parameters IN REAL TIME!

Nodes in your shader tree that are to be parameterized must be named a special way. The name must begin with PM: and be followed by a node name. Following the node name, separated by another :, is an optional list of input names. Input names should be separated by commas. If you want all numeric inputs, use a * for the input list.

OK now that you have me totally confused on this "script" what I want to know is what do it offer to my scene.

"These scripts will scan your materials in a figure or prop, create actor parameters for them, then update *ALL* the materials as you adjust the parameters IN REAL TIME!"

In simple English what does that mean?

For the moment i don't use Parmatic.

But for what I understood, Parmatic is a kind of tool for the Material room.
For example when you change only for one scene some textures. I don't know, for 10 walls; one is done, and with Parmatic you apply quickly on 9 others.
It's to make changes to materials via dials.

Here, before the risk of shutdown on RDNA forums, you have one topic on Parmatic:
Parmatic automatically parameterize your Materials

It could be use for skin of characters.

Which in my mind implies people (artists) with way better skills than I wold get use out of it ... not taking away from those who can use this and to its potential but it is certainly beyond my skills ... so come out you skilled folks and demonstrate and describe how it works.
