Title: Inspirit - Demo version review
Post by: cougarmadcat on December 14, 2017, 03:45:32 AM
:java: The demo version works pretty well and can be quite a bit of fun even if a person has not been creating a lot dealing with mandalas or such. The controls are fairly easy to use. It took a few to figure out how to get in and out of the program (probably just my brain going duh).

When you first enter the program you are sent into the gallery of what you have done; however, there is a exit "x" to the top left and a minimize button beside it. It does not have a full minimize button. On the top right is a plus key which allows you to create a new project in one of 6 different sizes or you could double click on an image you were already working on.

The page color is changeable to what you like and the paint colors allow for up to 5 colors plus a black and white. You also have the ability to make the colors mix making it so that the paint changes colors as you draw. That is kind of fun. There are 5 paintbrush styles which are adjustable. You can also make a single image or one which creates a seamless pattern.

It was fun experimenting with it. I like the basics of the program. It's best feature, as far as I'm concerned, is that the brush is adjustable. What I did not find pleasant was there being no redo or undo ability as far as I'd been able to discern. Also, the paint colors are chosen through a system where you move 3 dots around a color wheel to get the 5 colors to use (besides the black and white). It is fun yet some may want more like html, rgb etc to be more exact.

Basically, I'm hoping that the full version has undo and redo as well as a more exact system for colors. Generally though, it is easy to learn and fun to play with. Then there is the movement part which is pscyodelic and somewhat mesmerizing.

@CMcat did you try ctrl+z or shift+ctrl+z to undo / redo ( they sorta work a lot even when is no line in book or menu item)
also did you try a r/click on likkle colour dots ? sometimes they have extra menus !!
can be a shift (other) click or a r/click .....it may open a new menu or do nothing
or crash your comp an send you to ......yeah yeah that's a joke

:java: Heya! Ah, kids. So cute, so fun, I get to give them back to whoever they belong to. Truthfully, I adore children just never had any; however, I do know cats and how difficult it is with them. Little humanoids are so much more excitement though.

Anyway, Yes, I did try ctrl z but not the shift ctrl z because brain was not working on that. I also tried the two little circles in the color wheel and they didn't do anything either. I'm a big click fiend. I try almost every spot. I'm going to try doing a little video thing of it again. Don't feel too bad when my brain breaks trying to do it :D :java:

I asked them about the undo feature and they will look forward to adding it to a future update, they have been getting many requests for it.
