Albany was reading a novel on the pilot's chair HOD when S448 said, "Commander, we are being hailed by BS-17. My sensors indicate it is a capital ship, although this model is not in my ship database."
A broad grin spread across Albany's face, the first in a long while. "That's a Super Nova-class ship, S448. She is Ranger."
"Ranger, this is Commander Albany MacPherson aboard SC S448."
There was substantial cheering in the background.
"S448: BS-17 ATC, requesting landing permssion."
"BS-17 ATC: Hanger 1 port. Flight mode 2. Landing carrier signal f8912df671f66fe5d on."
