The Solaris Command AI sent to the space retrieval crew to collect the break-away access bridge. This was the first time it had been deliberately broken by a departing starship.
Lieutenant Commander Abraham Jones after discussion with Ensign vonHoldt informed the Fleet that Commander MacPherson had been abducted by the Naglfarians.
Jones then went back to arranging new doors for the port service bay to be brought up from Earth's surface.
Whatever had been in the shuttle that had exploded had coated the interior of the bay so that it was not being cooled by being open to space.
