Amy was explaining to Taryn that her lamb Lulu was afraid to get into the elevator to the surface.
"Lady isn't afraid," said Taryn. "She went immediately to the platform when she came in."
Her brother Jimmy and her parents held back as Taryn appeared to be about to persuade Amy to get on.
It had been a pretty chaotic day, with the AI's and the 6-CON's hurrying them out in the night to the elevators and with concussion from the strikes on the colony buildings sending dust and debris down the shaft.
Amy had slept in her mother's arms for a few hours while she clutched her stuffed animal as the 6-CON's had taken them up to the platform over the servers.
Bess, Bo and the chickens made their way to surface in the other lift.
